About 80 illegal workers from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, South Korea detained in Moscow

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - Several dozens of illegal migrants from Central Asia and South Korea have been detained in northeastern Moscow, a source at the city police department told Interfax.

"The police found 30 citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in a two-story non-residential building on Pervaya Severnaya Linia Street. They said they were janitors and builders but failed to present their work permits and ids," the source said.

The migrants were taken to the Severny district police station to bring administrative charges against them and check their possible involvement in crimes.

"Several days after the police checked another building on Dmitrovskoye Highway. About 50 construction workers from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, South Korea and various regions of Russia lived in temporary cabins. They were also taken to a police station and charged with administrative offenses," the source said.

The illegal migrants were found by the Moscow northeastern administrative district's criminal investigative department and the Severny district police.
