KazTransOil to boost revenue 30% in 2013 thanks to increase in transportation tariffs
SHYMKENT. November 14. (Interfax) - OJSC KazTransOil's revenues are expected to increase by 30% next year, said Kairgeldy Kabyldin, the company's general director.
"With the transportation tariffs going up effective December 1 of this year, our revenue will jump 30% in 2013," he told a press conference in Shymkent (the administrative center of the South Kazakhstan Region).
He said that the company's profit in 2012 will be higher than last year.
Kabyldin said earlier that the company would post a 2012 consolidated profit of around 145-146 billion tenge (150.78/$1 on November 14, 2012) compared with 140 billion tenge in 2011.
As reported, the Kazakh State Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies approved new oil transportation tariffs for KazTransOil.
According to the new tariffs, the company will charge 4,732.6 tenge exclusive of VAT to pump one ton of oil per thousand kilometer (compared to the previous tariff of 3,331 tenge exclusive of VAT) for exports and 1,954.5 tenge exclusive of VAT (1,303 tenge respectively) for the domestic market.
The new tariffs will come into force on December 1, 2012.
KazTransOil, wholly owned by National Company KazMunayGas, is a natural monopolist on the market of oil transportation through pipelines in Kazakhstan.
