Ukrainian industrial decline slows to 4.2% in Oct

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Industrial production in Ukraine in October 2012 slowed to 4.2% from October 2011, compared to a 7% decline in September 2012 from September 2011, the State Statistics Service reported Friday.

Despite the October slowdown in the decline, the cumulative decline in industrial production sped up to 1.4% in January-October 2012, from 1.2% in January-September 2012 year-over-year.

The statistics service also said that industrial output in October 2012 from September 2012 grew by 5.8%.

Ukraine saw a 7.3% rise in industrial output in 2011. However, industrial production in January-September 2011 posted an 8.8% increase.
