Lavrov visits ancient capital of Khmer empire
SIEM REAP. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has begun his visit to Cambodia with sightseeing.
The minister visited the ancient capital of the Khmer empire, contemporary Cambodia, and toured Angkor Thom temples, an Interfax correspondent reports.
Later in the day the minister will go to the modern capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, to attend ASEAN events, including the seventh East Asia Summit.
Lavrov will have a bilateral meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday morning.
