Russia could supply 10 mln-15 mln tonnes LNG to Asia-Pacific by 2018 - Novak

MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Russia could be supplying 10 million-15 million tonnes of liquefied gas to the Asia-Pacific market per year by 2018, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said at the Gas of Russia 2012 forum.

"Even taking the development of the world LNG market into consideration, the overall potential to supply LNG from the Yamal Peninsula and Far East gas production centers to the European and Asian markets is 41 million-46 million tonnes, not including the Shtokman project. Supplies to the Asia-Pacific market will play an important role and could reach 10 million-15 million tonnes by 2018," he said.
