Yevgeny Muraviev appointed Norilsk Nickel deputy chief

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Yevgeny Muraviev has been appointed deputy general director of MMC Norilsk Nickel , the company said in a statement.

Muraviev, who previously headed Norilsk Nickel's Polar Division, will start his new job on November 26. He will oversee environmental issues, the statement said.

The Polar Division's new chief will be Alexander Ryumin, who has 40 years of experience working for Norilsk Nickel.

At the moment, Interros structures own 28.08% of Norilsk Nickel shares, Rusal owns 25.13%, and Metalloinvest has 4%. Norilsk Nickel's treasury stake is about 17%. The company is currently in the process of cancelling 10% of its treasury shares, after which the shareholders' stakes will change.
