Transneft searches out add'l 600,000 tonnes oil for Belarus in Dec

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Russian oil pipeline company OJSC Transneft has searched out an additional 600,000 tonnes of oil to deliver to Belarus next month, Transneft Press Secretary Igor Demin told Interfax.

"We collected an additional 600,000 tonnes of oil, but have not documented it," Demin said.

As reported, oil deliveries to Belarus might be increased in the fourth quarter to 4.9 million tonnes if an additional 600,000 tonnes could be found. Initially, additional December oil for Belarus amounted to 420,000 tonnes.

Early last month, Russia had cut back Q4 oil delivery volume to Belarus to 4 million tonnes from 5.2-5.3 million tonnes. The decision was made by Russia considering a sharp increase to Belarus of oil products from Russia and Belarus not meeting its balance obligations to deliver to Russia 5.8 million tonnes of oil products this year. Russia also thinks that Belarus re-exported Russian oil products this year in the form of chemical solvents, the export of which is not subject to duties.
