Putin puts forward task of developing measures to support domestic manufacturers

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - The Russian government should develop a plan of action to adapt individual sectors of the economy to the conditions of Russia's membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO), President Vladimir Putin has said.

"We advocated and will undoubtedly continue advocating the interests of our manufacturers. Practically all of our partners - EU, the USA, other WTO countries - do that and in turn we should develop a set of long-term measures aimed at supporting key branches of the economy," Putin said at a session of the Russian Security Council.
