Indonesian aviation regulator clears SSJ-100 for operation

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - The Indonesian Directorate General of Civil Aviation has validated the type certificate for the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 (SSJ-100, model RRJ-95B), Russia's CJSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) reported on Thursday.

This certificate verifies the SSJ-100's compliance with the requirements of the Indonesian aviation authorities, permits its export to Indonesia and allows aviation companies in the country to operate it without restrictions.

Two Indonesian airlines - Sky Aviation and Kartika - have ordered 42 SSJ-100. The first deliveries to Sky Aviation will commence this year.

At the moment, SCA has over 170 firm contracts for supplies of the SSJ-100.

The Sukhoi SuperJet-100 is a regional, new-generation 100-seater jet developed and produced by SCA with Alenia Aermacchi participation.
