Putin to visit Turkey on December 3

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to Turkey on December 3 to attend the third summit-level meeting of the Russian-Turkish Cooperation Council, the Kremlin press service has reported.

An agreement was reached after Putin's visit to Turkey in 2009 to set up a cooperation council to plan the strategy for Russian-Turkish relations. The Council last convened in Moscow on March 16, 2011.

"The agenda will cover the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, including trade and economic, investment, interregional, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the implementation of joint projects, strategic energy projects and interaction in the banking sector," the Kremlin press service said.

The parties will also exchange views on the key international and regional problems, including the situation in the Middle East, in the Transcaucasus, in Central Asia and in the Balkans, the press service said.

Russian-Turkish agreements are expected to be signed after the meeting.

Putin and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan will also meet with Russian and Turkish businessmen.
