Leak from Japan regarding dates of PM's visit to Moscow "unethical" - Putin's aide
MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov has described as "unethical" a leak from Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda's entourage regarding the dates of his visit to Russia.
"It is not appropriate to talk about this, but, considering that there have been such leaks, a preliminary agreement has been achieved regarding January, and it so far remains valid," Ushakov told journalists.
A number of media outlets reported earlier citing Noda that he had decided not to travel to Moscow in December because of Russian President Vladimir Putin's heath problems.
Ushakov said he was in charge of coordinating the visit dates with Japan and that several possible dates were discussed.
"I have been in charge of this issue roughly since October, but I'm doing this in an absolutely hermetically sealed diplomatic process of coordinating the dates. It is just unethical to say what dates were considered. It was first October, then November, and December, and January, some options were rejected, others accepted, and even February was under consideration," he said.
