Russian transport minister in Tver to deal with snow storm aftermath on federal highway
MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov is meeting with Tver regional officials on Sunday to discuss ways of dealing with the traffic jam on the M-10 federal highway, hit by a snow storm.
The regional government's spokesperson Lyudmila Romitsyna could not confirm to Interfax whether Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov is attending.
Reports said earlier that Puchkov is inspecting the effort to deal with the aftermath of a snow storm in the Tver, Novgorod and Leningrad regions.
According to unconfirmed reports, the traffic jam on the M-10 "Rossiya" federal highway in the Tver region has stretched to 200 kilometers.
