Kyiv should join individual provisions of Customs Union accord - Yanukovych
ASHGABAT. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Ukraine should join individual provisions of the Customs Union agreement or else it could lose much economically, said President Viktor Yanukovych.
He told Ukrainian journalists in Ashgabat on Wednesday that he had discussed Ukraine's interaction with the Customs Union with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Ashgabat summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
"We are well aware that if we fail to find an instrument of cooperation with the Customs Union we may lose much, which is impermissible for Ukraine's economy. We talked about that. About the essence of our proposals which we have been discussing for several years: we need to join individual provisions of the Customs Union agreement and comply," Yanukovych said.
