Nobody hurt in emergency landing of Boeing at Krasnoyarsk airport

KEMEROVO. Dec 9 (Interfax) - A Boeing 767 of Nord Wind airlines on a flight from Krasnoyarsk to Phuket (Thailand) carrying almost 300 passengers and crewmembers landed safely at the departure airport after several hours of flying over it due to problems with trailing end flaps, Interfax was told at the Siberian regional center of the Emergency Situations' Ministry.

Meanwhile, assistant to the West Siberian transport prosecutor Yevgeniya Dergachyova told the agency that the airliner landed at 2:45 p.m. local time and none of the passengers or crewmembers was hurt.

"In relation to the incident the Yenisei transport prosecutor's office will conduct an inspection of flight safety," she said.

The passengers will apparently fly to their destination by a reserve airliner. The Boeing will be duly examined.
