Defense Ministry won't hold contests to sell property anymore - Shoigu
MOSCOW. Dec 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The Defense Ministry will transfer to the Federal Property Management Agency the functions of selling unnecessary military property, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a Sunday meeting with President Vladimir Putin's election agents.
"We will no longer arrange contests to sell property," he said.
He said that if the army needs something, it should remain Defense Ministry property. If there is no need for it, a specially assigned agency - the Federal Properly Management Agency - should dispose of it.
