Ukrnafta reduces oil production 2.6% in Jan-Nov, gas output down 6.7%

KYIV. Dec 11 (Interfax) - PAO Ukrnafta, Ukraine's leading oil production company, reduced oil output by 2.6% year-on-year to 1.8749 million tonnes in January-November 2012, the country's Energy and Coal Ministry told Interfax.

Ukrnafta's gas condensate production went up by 5.8% to 184,970 tonnes in the 11 months.

Gas production declined by 6.7% to 1.8547 billion cubic meters, including natural gas, down 4.2% to 1.4697 bcm.

It was earlier reported that the company reduced oil output in 2011 by 6.2% to 2.078 million tonnes, gas condensate - 28.4% to 193,200 tonnes, gas - 12.2% to 2.1466 bcm, including natural gas, down 13.6% to 1.657 bcm.

Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 50% plus one share in Ukrnafta while a group of companies tied to the owners of Dnipropetrovsk-based Privatbank holds around 42%.
