N. Korea declares successful placement of satellite into orbit
PYONGYANG. Dec 12 (Interfax) - The Wednesday launch of a long-range rocket by North Korea was successful, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) of the DPRK has reported.
"The second version of the Kwangmyongsong-3 satellite from the Sohae Space Centre was successfully launched using the Unha-3 rocket on Wednesday," the KCNA said.
"The satellite has reached a planned orbit," it said.
