Putin to air his vision of Russia's development in coming years in address to Federal Assembly - Ivanov

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will air his "vision of the country's development in the coming years" in an annual address to the Federal Assembly on Wednesday, presidential chief of staff Sergei Ivanov told journalists.

"Special significance will be attached to moral and spiritual values and aspects of national unity," Ivanov said.

The address also "contains a number of new ideas in the area of the country's economic and political development and a number of practical instructions to the government," he said.

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Tuesday that the presidential address to the Federal Assembly could take slightly less than one hour and that Putin was personally working on the text in recesses between his working meetings.

"The president traditionally works on the text before its delivery, which is exactly what he is doing now between his working meetings," Peskov said.

"We expect it [the address] to last slightly less than one hour," Peskov said.
