Ukraine pays $38.25 mln on 2013 Eurobonds

KYIV. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Ukraine has made a full on-time payment of $38.25 million on a coupon for $1 billion in 10-year Eurobonds placed in 2003, the Finance Ministry said in a statement.

The Eurobonds were placed at 7.65% with semiannual coupon payments. The issue matures on June 11, 2013.

According to Ukraine's State Treasury Service, 25.5 billion hryvni (7.993 hryvni/$1 on December 12, 2012) is earmarked for servicing state debt in 2012, 22.25 billion hryvni of which was paid as of December 10, including 6.3 billion hryvni for foreign debt.

A total of 66.5 billion hryvni has been set aside for paying state debt, of which 60.92 billion hryvni has been paid, including 29.22 billion hryvni on foreign debt.

The state borrowing plan for 2012 comes to 98.4 billion hryvni, which has already been exceeded at 10.26 billion hryvni as of December 10, including 38.77 billion hryvni in foreign borrowing.

The government expects total payments on state debt in 2013 to increase to 116.1 billion hryvni, 47.6 billion hryvni of which is for foreign debt.
