Rosatom to increase capex 17% to 350 bln rubles in 2013 - deputy chief

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Russian State Nuclear Energy Company Rosatom will boost capex 17% to 350 billion rubles in 2013, the company's Deputy General Director of Capital Investments Pyotr Stepayev told journalists.

Director for Strategy and Investments Igor Karavaev previously said that Rosatom's consolidated investment program averages at about $10 billion a year. However, specific figures and dynamics have not been disclosed.

Rosatom's strategy envisages $350 billion in investments by 2030.

The lion's share of capex will go towards the construction of nuclear power plants (NPP). This year, OJSC Concern Rosenergoatom (the client for under-construction and the operator for existing NPPs) had an investment program worth roughly 200 billion rubles.

Rosatom manages enterprises in the Russian nuclear energy and nuclear weapons complexes.
