Putin: Russia's development vector is directed eastward in 21st century
MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin believes the main vector of Russia's development is currently directed eastward.
"In the 21st century, Russia's development vector is directed eastward," Putin said in his annual address to the Federal Assembly.
"Siberia and the Far East hold our colossal potential, Mikhail Lomonosov said so many years ago," Putin said, adding that this potential needs to be realized.
"It's an opportunity to take a good place in Asia and the Pacific," the president said.
