Putin to meet with members of Council of Lawmakers
MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold the first meeting with the members of the Federal Assembly's Council of Lawmakers on December 13.
The Council of Lawmakers is an advisory body under the Federal Assembly, which was set up in May 2012 by the Federation Council and the State Duma to arrange interaction between the two chambers of the Federal Assembly and regional lawmaking bodies.
The Council of Lawmakers is comprised of the chairpersons and heads of the committees of the Federation Council and the State Duma and the chairpersons of the regional legislatures.
On December 12, the heads of the regional lawmaking bodies for the first time attended the presentation of the presidential address to the Federal Assembly at the Kremlin.
