Kazakhstan ups copper production 7.9%, cuts zinc 0.2% in 11M

ALMATY. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan produced 332,620 tonnes of refined copper in January-November, 7.9% more than in the same period of last year, the State Statistics Agency said.

Unprocessed zinc production fell 0.2% to 292,314 tonnes.

Output of copper in concentrate rose 2.8% to 382,900 tonnes, but zinc in concentrate was down 1.2% to 338,900 tonnes.

Copper ore production rose 12% year-on-year in January-November to 35.06 million tonnes, copper-zinc ore - 17.6% to 4.49 million tonnes and lead-zinc ore - 7.2% to 7.132 million tonnes.
