No talk yet of Russians' evacuation from Syria - embassy

MOSCOW/DAMASCUS. Dec 13 (Interfax) - An urgent evacuation of Russian citizens, including embassy staff, from Syria is not on the agenda today, press officer of the Russian diplomatic mission in Damascus Sergei Markov said.

"Any urgent evacuation of Russian citizens from Syria is not being discussed at the moment," he told Interfax over the phone from Damascus on Thursday.

"However, the embassy will help all Russian citizens willing to leave Syria," the diplomat said.
