Sollers Group's ZMZ ups engine production 18% in 11M
NIZHNY NOVGOROD. Dec 13 (Interfax) - OJSC Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ) , part of the Sollers automobile group, produced around 85,000 engines of various modification in January-November, 18% more year-on-year, a company press release says.
ZMZ supplied OJSC Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ, part of Sollers) with 64,400 engines during the 11M (up 17%), and sold around 15,400 of them on the secondary market (up 25%). The producer supplied the PAZ bus factory (part of the GAZ group) with 5,200 eight-cylinder engines (up 20%).
The enterprise supplied the company Ford plants in Russia, Europe, Argentina, China, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam with more than 222,000 cantilever brackets, 49,000 more than in January-November of last year.
Fulfilling Knorr-Bremse (Germany) orders in January-November, ZMZ shipped around 32,000 crankshafts (up 130% year-on-year) and 5,000 compressor housings.
ZMZ is one of the biggest producers of internal combustion engines in Russia.
