Greece supports shift to Russia-EU visa-free travel
ATHENS. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Athens supports EU-Russia visa-free travel.
"A key priority of the Foreign Ministry is the constant growth in tourist arrivals from large tourist and emerging markets. In this context, Greece firmly supports the Russian aspiration for visa-free travel with the European Union, which has been noted at the recent meeting of Greek Foreign Minister Dimitrios Avramopoulos and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov," the Greek Embassy in Moscow quoted Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitrios Kourkoulas on Friday.
"Greece and Russia are about to end the drafting of a joint statement, which will express the intention to strengthen cooperation with regard to mobility, which will provide the possibility of issuing long-term and multi-entry visas," Kourkoulas said.
