Russian gas production could fall 2.3%, Gazprom output 5.9% in 2012 - CDU TEK
MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Russia's overall gas production will fall 2.3% this year to 655.2 billion cubic meters, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) said.
Gazprom could cut output 5.9% to 480 bcm while other producers raise it 8.8% to 175.2 bcm.
Oil production might grow 1.2% to 518 million tonnes, mostly on account of fields in East Siberia and European Russia, where output will grow 3.5% to 214.3 million tonnes (of which 63 million tonnes East Siberia and 151.3 million tonnes Europe). Oil production could fall 0.3% to 303.7 million tonnes in West Siberia.
The Russian Economic Development Ministry has lowered its 2012 gas production forecast from 676 to 656 bcm and kept its oil forecast at 516 mln tonnes.
