Belarus calls for net back parity for energy prices, access to monopoly services within Customs Union

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - Belarus is interested in conducting a coordinated industrial policy and removing restrictions on access to the services of natural monopolies within the Customs Union and Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

"For Belarus, pragmatic goals of integration are moving to net back parity of prices for gas and maintaining it for oil, as well as ensuring equal access of the parties to the services of natural monopolies in the area of electricity, gas transportation and railroad transport," a representative of the Belarusian delegation participating in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Moscow told Interfax.

Belarus is also calling for "a unified transport policy, [and] the creation of a coordinated platform for negotiations with third countries on issues that fall under the authority of the Eurasian Economic Commission," he said.
