Putin: Serdyukov might be brought to account if investigators obtain concrete facts

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has said that none of those involved in embezzlement in the Defense Ministry or other such crimes will escape punishment and promised that all the cases will be fully investigated.

At the same time, he told reporters on Thursday that arresting ex-Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov "just in order to please anyone" would be wrong.

"He will definitely be [arrested] if investigators obtain concrete facts... No one will escape punishment. All investigations will be completed," Putin said.
