Handover of Kaczynski plane debris to Poland within Russian investigators' jurisdiction - Putin
MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The handover of the debris of the Polish presidential plane carrying ex-President Lech Kaczynski that crashed near Smolensk in April 2010 is within the Russian Investigative Committee's jurisdiction, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"As for the plane's wreckage, its debris, it is after all for the investigators to decide. I don't know the details. We are not interfering in the investigation," he said.
"I don't think we should cling to this wreckage forever. Although I don't know details of the Investigative Committee's position, I will talk with the Investigative Committee leadership. The only thing I believe should not be done is politicizing this problem," he said.
