Pussy Riot member Alyokhina gets reprimands in penal colony

MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Convicted Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina has received two reprimands for waking up too late in the penal colony.

"I have learned that after being reprimanded for waking up too late, Maria Alyokhina received another two reprimands, which were included in her file," Pyotr Verzilov, the husband of convicted Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, told Interfax on Friday.

Verzilov said Alyokhina has "a very tense relationship with the administration [of the penal colony], which is trying to punish the girl through reprimands."

"Masha is kept in a solitary cell and has no alarm clock. It's easy to ensue that she oversleeps the wakeup call," he said.

Verzilov recalled that the wakeup call in the colony is at 6:00 a.m., which leave them very little time to sleep, given their busy schedule.

Verzilov recalled that Alyokhina's lawyer is ready to contest the reprimands, but the colony administration is not giving him any official documents.
