Fesco icebreakers to escort tankers to De Kastri port until April
VLADIVOSTOK. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Far Eastern Shipping Company's (Fesco) Admiral Makarov and Krasin icebreakers will escort large tankers in and out of the De Kastri port in Khabarovsk Territory until about the beginning of April 2013 under a time charter by Exxon Neftegas Limited.
Fesco, the flagship company of the Fesco transportation group, said the icebreakers left their home port of Vladivostok on December 20 and headed for Tatar Strait.
The Admiral Makarov will sail to De Kastri to escort the first tanker, Yury Senkevich, south, while the Krasin will stay at the southern edge of the ice in Tatar Strait to wait for the Viktor Titov tanker, which it will escort north.
