Georgia does not plan to come back to CIS - Premier Ivanishvili
TBILISI. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Tbilisi will adhere to European and Euro-Atlantic integration and will not come back to the CIS, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili told a Monday press conference.
"We will not change our strategic policy, but we can deepen cooperation with CIS member states if it does not disagree with our course," he said.
"I want to say right away in order to prevent interpretations by our opponents: we are not considering rapprochement with the CIS. Our position is to improve and deepen relations with all neighbors, which are CIS members. We may use any cooperation format as long as it does not disagree with our strategy," Ivanishvili stressed.
