Federation Council committee recommends approval of "anti-Magnitsky bill" with reservations

MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - The Federation Council International Affairs Committee has basically approved the bill retaliating against the U.S. Magnitsky Act, Committee Deputy Chairman Valery Shnyakin said after the Committee meeting on Monday.

"We will recommend approval of this bill, but with some reservations," he said.

Shnyakin did not go into details, but said that their proposals would be made on Tuesday, at a meeting of the Constitutional Legislation Committee, which would elaborate final recommendations for the Wednesday session of the Federation Council.
