40 planes, 127 helicopters to be supplied to Russian Armed Forces in 2012
MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax-AVN) - Some 40 warplanes and 127 helicopters will be supplied to the Russian Armed Forces in 2012, Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said on Wednesday.
"A total of 32 planes have been supplied under the state defense order 2012, and eight more will be delivered before the year-end," he said.
The Russian Helicopters Holding has supplied 127 helicopters of various purposes to the Armed Forces in 2012, Borisov said.
Sukhoi, Mikoyan and Yakovlev Yak-130 jets will be supplied to the Russian Air Force in 2012, he said.
The Army has received Mil Mi-28N and Kamov Ka-52 helicopters, the deputy minister added.
Besides, the Armed Forces have been supplied with 34 radar stations and KamAZ and Ural trucks. The defense sector modernized T-72 tanks and delivered Islander operative tactical missile systems, he said.
"The Tula Design Bureau fulfilled its obligations in the delivery of Pantsir-2 systems. In all, four sets were delivered," Borisov said.
