Karimov appoints deputy foreign minister for cooperation with CIS, SCO

TASHKENT. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Eldor Aripov, former Deputy Secretary of the Uzbek Presidential Natural Security Council, has been appointed as a deputy foreign minister.

President Islam Karimov signed the ordinance to the effect.

Aripov was introduced to the ministry board on Wednesday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reports.

Aripov will supervise cooperation with CIS and SCO member countries.
