Russia-NATO Council will meet at chiefs of staff level in January in Brussels

BRUSSELS. Dec 26 (Interfax) - The Russia-NATO Council will meet at the level of chiefs of General Staff at the NATO headquarters in Brussels on January 16, a military source told Interfax on Wednesday.

The meeting is timed to a series of conferences of chiefs of staff of NATO countries due in the Belgian capital on January 15-16.

The source said that on the Russian side the meeting will be represented by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov who will also have a number of bilateral meetings in Brussels.
