Never too late to eliminate flaws in "anti-Magnitsky law" - Fedotov
MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - Presidential Human Rights Council Chairman Mikhail Fedotov regrets that the Council's remarks on the "anti-Magnitsky law" have not been presented to the head of state on time.
"I am so sorry that the president did not see our letter. It was delivered late. Hopefully, he will see it at some point and pay attention to our proposals concerning shortcomings of this law. It is never too late to eliminate them," Fedotov told Interfax on Friday.
He said it was important that the president had signed an ordinance on the protection of orphans.
On Friday Putin signed the "anti-Magnitsky law" and the decree enhancing support to orphans.
