Rosneft to guarantee Neftepromleasing debt to Gazprombank

MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - The board of Russian oil major Rosneft on December 24 approved a deal to provide a guarantee to Gazprombank for full implementation by LLC Neftepromleasing of obligations arising from a credit facility for equipment supplier LLC Heurtey Petroleum Rus.

Rosneft said in a press release that the total amount of obligations (including the credit facility and payment for opening it) is equivalent to 1.1 billion rubles. The credit facility has a term of no more than 570 days from the date it is opened.

The oil company's board approved a deal with OJSC VTB Bank and Gazprombank to buy put options totaling $250 million.

LLC Heurtey Petroleum Rus is wholly owned by French company Heurtey Petrochem, which produces equipment for petrochemicals and gas processing.
