Ukrainian budget deficit widens 24% in Nov - Finance Ministry
KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Ukraine's national budget in November 2012 expanded by 24.2%, or UAH 8.02 billion, to UAH 41.222 billion by the end of the month, according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.
"The deficit of the national budget January through November 2012 was UAH 41.222 billion with the annual target set at UAH 42.911 billion," the ministry said (UAH 7.999/$1 on Dec.29).
The expenditures of the general fund of the national budget January through November 2012 exceeded revenues by UAH 38.62 billion with an expected deficit of UAH 46.86 billion. The deficit of the general fund in November 2012 alone grew by 23.5%, or UAH 7.34 billion.
According to the Finance Ministry, the deficit of the consolidated budget for January-November 2012 was lower than the deficit of the national budget, totaling UAH 33.91 billion.
Revenue from privatization in the 11 months amounted to UAH 6.68 billion.
As was reported, the deficit of Ukraine's national budget in October 2012 was UAH 8.83 billion. It was UAH 7.73 billion in September 2012, UAH 10.23 billion in July 2012, while August 2012 saw a surplus of UAH 280 million.
