Moscow authorities ready to coordinate opposition action of Jan 13

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - Moscow authorities are ready to coordinate an opposition march against the so-called "anti-Magnitsky law" on January 13.

"We are ready to discuss the issue. I do not think we will have to negotiate for long. There will be a meeting and a detailed discussion of the action's procedure," head of the Moscow administration's regional security department Alexei Mayorov told Interfax on Wednesday.

The meeting with the action organizing committee is due within hours, he said.

Action co-organizer, opposition activist and journalist Alexander Ryklin told Interfax earlier that the opposition agreed to follow the route suggested by the Moscow administration: from Strastnoi Boulevard to Academician Sakharov Avenue.

"There will be room for their 20,000 people there," Mayorov said, referring to the number of action participants declared by the organizers.
