Grupo Antolin to build another components factory in Leningrad region
ST. PETERSBURG. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Spain's Grupo Antolin plans by 2015 to build another automobile components factory in Russia's Leningrad region, Francisco Duarte, head of the group's plastic parts business department, said at a meeting with the region's governor, Alexander Drozdenko.
The group would need a 7-10 hectare site for the plant, which would produce mainly interior door and ceiling panels.
Duarte also said the group's sales in Russia were EUR 12 million last year and could hit EUR 30 million in 2013 and EUR 40 million in 2015.
Grupo Antolin President Ernesto Arribas said at a meeting with Drozdenko that the new plant might have 300-350 employees. He did not say how much would be invested in the plant, but he did say the group will have invested EUR 30 million in Russia altogether by 2015.
Drozdenko suggested the group build at the industrial park that is being set up in the Tosno district. "We expect the site will be totally ready for investors by the end of 2014," he said.
Talks are being held to bring other investors, including Bosch-Siemens, into the park.
Grupo Antolin commissioned its first components plant in the Leningrad region in 2011 at a cost of EUR 14 million.
