RosUkrEnergo pays dividends for 2011
MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Gazprom has disclosed that RosUkrEnergo AG announced the payment of dividends for 2011 in June of last year.
Gazprom owns 50% of the gas trader. In previous reports the gas monopoly did not say it had received dividends from RosUkrEnergo. Gazprom reported profits from its stake in the company only in 2008 - 25 billion rubles. Gazprom registered losses in 2006-2007.
Gazprom received money in July last year, and reported a share of the profits at RosUkrEnergo in the amount of 15.6 billion rubles, without specifying how much it received in dividends.
Since 2006, RosUkrEnergo has been a monopoly supplier of natural gas to Ukraine. Ukrainian businessmen Dmitry Firtash (90%) and Ivan Fursin's (10%) Centragas Holding holds the other 50% stake in the gas trader, though Firtash has lately been describing himself as the other of 50% of RosUkrEnergo.
Last February, Gazprom got a $183 million loan from RosUkrEnergo at 3.5% payable last December under an agreement concluded in January 2011.
