Uzbekneftegaz cuts liquid hydrocarbon output 12% in 2012

TASHKENT. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Uzbek oil and gas holding Uzbekneftegaz slashed its production of liquid hydrocarbons (oil, including gas condensate) by 11.7% to 3.165 million tonnes in 2012, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee reported.

In particular, gas condensate production was down 5.6% to 1.604 million tonnes, and oil production dropped 17.4% to 1.561 million tonnes.

Natural gas output edged down 0.2% to 62.911 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2012.

Uzbekneftegaz produced 1.226 million tonnes of gasoline (down 6.3%); 304,500 tonnes of kerosene (down 8.1%); 1.021 million tonnes of diesel fuel (down 2.9%); 255,200 tonnes of furnace oil (down 8.2%); 151,300 tonnes of bitumen (down 8.2%); and 273,600 tonnes of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (up 5.9%).

Uzbekneftegaz, established in 1998, is the monopoly operator of Uzbekistan's oil and gas complex, managing six joint-stock companies.
