PhosAgro ups fertilizer sales 7.8% in 2012

MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - OJSC PhosAgro boosted fertilizer sales by 7.8% to 5.3 million tonnes in 2012, the company reported.

Fertilizer production grew 8.6% to 5.4 million tonnes.

Sales of phosphate-based fertilizer increased 4.5% to 4.243 million tonnes, and its output was up 5.7% to 4.34 million tonnes.

Sales of Apatit products grew 10.5% to 4.583 million tonnes in 2012, and their output climbed 2.8% to 8.96 million tonnes.

Sales of nitrogen-based fertilizers soared 23% to 1.095 million tonnes, and their production jumped 21.8% to 1.098 million tonnes.

Meanwhile, sales of other products fell 26% to 257,300 tonnes, and their production edged down 0.3% to 7.165 million tonnes.
