Ukrainian-Georgian interstate commission will resume work - Yanukovych

DAVOS. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Ukraine and Georgia have reached an agreement to resume the work of the Ukrainian-Georgian interstate commission, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said.

Commenting on the results of his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, Yanukovych said the meeting had addressed cooperation between Ukraine and Georgia.

"We discussed the resumption of the work of the interstate commission, which will plan the economic relations between our countries and issues relating to the development of various sectors of the economy. It's extremely necessary in an economic crisis," Yanukovych said.

During the current economic forum in Davos, Yanukovych decided not to rent the expensive villa that Viktor Yushchenko rented in 2005-2010, an Interfax correspondent has reported.

The Ukrainian delegation led by Yanukovych is staying in a hotel in the small city called Bad Ragaz, where the heads of other countries are also staying.
