Uraltrubprom boosts pipe production 20% in 2012

YEKATERINBURG. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Uraltrubprom Ural Pipe Plant produced 326,715 tonnes of pipes in 2012, up 19.7% from 272,905 tonnes in 2011, the Sverdlovsk Region company's marketing department told Interfax.

The plant increased production of oil pipeline pipes by 15.8% to 208,619 tonnes and production of shaped pipes by 27.4% to 118,095 tonnes.

Uraltrubprom shipped 324,054 tonnes of pipes to customers, 18.5% more than in a year earlier. This included 205,774 tonnes of oil pipeline pipes and 118,280 tonnes of shaped pipes, respectively 14.1% and 27.2% more.

The plant intends to maintain production at last year's level in 2013.

Uraltrubprom is a major Russian producer of electric welded straight seam oil pipeline pipes with diameter of 159 mm to 426 mm, and 80x80 mm to 300x300 mm shaped pipes, as well as steel structures for buildings and various installations.
