Russian Security Council meeting addresses Mali crisis, economic aid to countries
MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the permanent members of the country's Security Council on Friday to discuss socioeconomic issues facing Russia and international topics, the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"As far as the international agenda is concerned, the participants in the session exchanged opinions on the situation surrounding Mali. Apart from that, they discussed financial cooperation with a number of foreign states that have requested Russian economic assistance," he said.
