SCA board of directors appoints new company president

MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - The board of directors of CJSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) on January 28 appointed Andrei Kalinovsky the company's president, effective February 1, SCA said in a statement.

Kalinovsky was the general director of OJSC V.P. Chkalov Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association since July 2007. Prior to that, he was first vice president for production at SCA.

SCA's current president, Vladimir Prisyazhnyuk, is resigning because his labor contract has expired.

Mikhail Pogosyan, the president and chairman of OJSC United Aircraft Corporation's (UAC) management board, is the new chairman of SCA's board of directors.

"The new staff changes are due to the ambitious tasks of enhancing rates of serial production, expanding the product range and raising the operating advantages of the Sukhoi SuperJet 100," the statement said.

SCA was founded in 2000 to implement civil aviation machinery projects, including the development and production of the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 (SSJ-100). Structures belonging to Sukhoi own a combined 75% minus one share in SCA, and World's Wing SA (represents the interests of Italian corporation Alenia) owns 25% plus one share.
