AAR, BP managers to replace TNK-BP representatives on Slavneft board of directors
MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Slavneft, a joint venture of TNK-BP and Gazprom Neft , will call an extraordinary shareholder meeting on February 21 to terminate the powers of the current board of directors and elect a new one ahead of schedule, replacing the TNK-BP representatives with managers from the Alfa-Access-Renova (AAR) consortium and BP, the company said in a statement.
Absent from the list of candidates to the new board are Executive Vice President for Downstream Activities at OJSC TNK-BP Management Alfredo Barrios and TNK-BP's Executive Vice President for Upstream Alexander Dodds. In their place are Director for Finance and Operations at AAR Dmitry Drobyshev and Manager/Head of the Financial Department at the Moscow Branch of BP Exploration Operating Company Ltd. Lorna Taryn Malcolm.
Gazprom Neft and TNK-BP will transition to a new scheme for managing Slavneft on January 1, 2013. The shareholders have split up Slavneft's assets between themselves, at each of which either Gazprom Neft or TNK-BP will fulfill operator functions. In the long term, operator activities at the Messoyakh project and control over YANOS will be transferred to Gazprom Neft, and operatorship at the Kuyumbinskoye project and control over Megionneftegaz will go to TNK-BP. Slavneft will act as the corporate center, although its asset structure is not changing.
